Login Assistance


Account Activation and First Time Login

Step 1.  Activate Your Account


Click the Account Activation Link provided in the email you received from Exostar. The subject line of the email is Action Required: Exostar Account First Time Login Instructions and contains your Exostar IAM Platform (formerly known as MAG) User ID (e.g. doej_1234), One-Time Password, and System-Generated Password.

If you are unable to access the link, go to https://portal.exostar.com. Click Establish Your Account.                  

Enter One-Time Password (provided by the individual who created your account).

Enter Captcha code

Click Continue


Step 2.  Create Password


Enter Password. Retype Password. Click Next.

Select four security questions and provide answers.  Click Next.


Step 3.  Login to your Exostar IAM Platform account with User ID and Password


Go to https://portal.exostar.com.

Enter User ID and Password.

Click Login.                    


Step 4.  Access Application


You are now logged into the Exostar IAM Platform.  Click Open Application.

NOTE:  Application status may vary.


Forgot User ID, Password or Security Questions

Forgot User ID or Password

Step 1.  Go to https://portal.exostar.com. Click Forgot User ID? or Forgot Password? link. 

Step 2.  If you need help with your user id, click Forgot User ID. Enter email address and zip/postal code. Click Continue.

Step 3.  User ID information is sent to the email address associated with the account. Enter Email Address and Zip/Postal Code then click Continue.

Step 4.  If you need help with your password, click Forgot Password. Enter User ID and click Continue.

Step 5.  Answer security questions. Click Continue.

Step 6.  A system-generated password is sent to the email address on file.

Forgot Security Questions

Step 1.  If you do not remember your questions, click Forgot Security Questions/Answers?-Follow these steps to reset your password. Enter Email Address and Zip/Postal Code then Click Continue.

Step 2.  A system-generated password is sent to the email address on file.

NOTE:  If you have multiple accounts registered with the same email address, contact Exostar Customer Support for assistance.

Login with Exostar Mobile ID (powered by Authy™)

After logging in with your user ID and password, the Exostar Mobile ID Authentication page displays. 

Use One Touch


One Touch allows you to approve or deny the OTP code from your mobile phone. One Touch requires an Internet connection.

Step 1.  You receive a push notification on your mobile phone to approve or deny the request for authentication.  

Step 2.  From your mobile phone, click Approve.  You are logged in with your Exostar Mobile ID credential. Verify you successfully logged in with your credential by confirming the credential strength from your Home dashboard view in your Exostar IAM Platform account. Mobile ID displays in the Credential Strength field.


Use Soft OTP


Soft OTP allows you to manually enter the OTP code that appears on your registered mobile phone. 

Step 1.  Click the X to enter the soft OTP code. 

Step 2.  Go to the Authy application you installed from the mobile app store. Enter the code that displays on your registered phone in the Soft OTP field. Click Submit.   

Step 3.  You are logged in with your Exostar Mobile ID credential.

Login with FIS Digital Certificates

Step 1.  If you are not automatically prompted to select your FIS BLOA Software or MLOA Software or Hardware certificates, go to https://portal.exostar.com.  If using FIS MLOA Hardware Digital certificates, ensure the token is plugged into your computer.

Step 2.  From the Advanced Login Options section, select Digital Certificates (Hardware) or Digital Certificates (Software).

Step 3.  When the certificate prompt displays, select the certificate and click OK.  If using MLOA Hardware Digital certificates, enter your token password.  Verify you successfully logged in with your credential by confirming the credential strength from your Home dashboard view in your Exostar IAM Platform account.  The certificate type displays in the Credential Strength field.

Login with OTP Hardware Token

Step 1.  After logging in with your user ID and password, the OTP Authentication page displays.  Press the button on your OTP Hardware Token device to generate the code. 

Step 2.  Enter the One-Time Password Code displayed on your token in the One-Time Password field

Step 3.  Click Authenticate.

Step 4.  You are logged in with your OTP Hardware Token. Verify you logged in with your OTP Hardware token by confirming the credential strength from your Home dashboard view in your Exostar IAM Platform (MAG) account. Hardware OTP displays in the Credential Strength field.

Login with Phone OTP

Step 1.  After logging in with your user ID and password, the Phone OTP Authentication page displays. Select Phone and Delivery Method.                

Step 2.  Click Send. The OTP Code expires two minutes after clicking Send.

Step 3.  You receive the OTP code via your selected delivery method. Enter the OTP Code in the OTP Code field. Click Submit.

Step 4.  You are logged in with your Phone OTP credential. Verify you logged in with your Phone OTP credential by confirming the credential strength from your Home dashboard view in your Exostar IAM Platform (formerly known as MAG) account (upper, right corner).


Login with Username and Password

Step 1.  Go to https://portal.exostar.com.

Step 2.  Enter your User ID and Password

Step 3.  Click Login
