Adoption Administrators



Access the Adoption Module

You must have the Adoption Administrator role with access to applications that you are inviting users and organizations to access.  The Adoption Module is accessed via Exostar's IAM Platform (MAG) from the Adoption tab. 


Invite a New User and New Organization to Access an Application

Step 1.  From the Adoption tab, click Begin New Invitation.

Step 2.  Enter the user’s email address. Click Search.

Step 3.  If no results return, click Search Organizations.

Step 4.  Enter the user’s company details. Click Search.

Step 5.  The system displays all possible matches. If no matches display, click Add Organization.

Step 6.  Enter the organization’s details. If required to select an external source name, please select the correct name.

Step 7.  Click Next.

Step 8.  Possible matches display. You can sort by clicking the header name. If there are no matches after reviewing, click Ignore Duplicate Matches and Request New Organization.

Step 9.  From the Actions menu located on the Organization Summary page, click Add User.

Step 10.  Enter the user’s details in the User Profile Information section.

Step 11.  From the Invitation Information section, select application(s).

Step 12.  If the user requires an OTP product or proofing, select appropriate option. This initiates an email notification to the user to complete a purchase. You have the option to enter the user’s External User ID. You can also enter a message by entering information in the Message to User field.

Step 13. Click Save.

Step 14.  To add another user, click Add Another User. To continue with the completion of the invitation, click Return to Organization Details.

Step 15.  Click Submit Invitation to complete.

Step 16.  The user receives an invitation to complete organization registration. During this process, the user selects an Organization and Application Administrator (can be self or someone else).

Step 17.  If Exostar approves the organization registration, users designated as Organization and Application Administrator roles receive First Time Login email to access Exostar’s IAM Platform (MAG).


Invite a New User to an Existing Organization to Access an Application

Step 1.  From the Adoption tab, click Begin New Invitation.

Step 2.  Enter the user’s email address. Click Search.

Step 3.  If no results return, click Search Organizations.

Step 4.  Enter the user’s company details. Click Search.

Step 5.  The system displays all possible matches. If a match appears, click the hyperlinked organization name. Please note that you can determine if the organization is subscribed to FIS Medium Level Hardware or EAG from the Organization Search view.

Step 6.  From the Actions menu located on the Organization Summary page, click Invite New User.

Step 7.  Enter the user’s details in the User Profile Information section.

Step 8.  From the Invitation Information section, select application(s).

Step 9.  If the user requires an OTP product or proofing, select appropriate option. This initiates an email notification to the user to complete a purchase. You have the option to enter the user’s External User ID. You can also enter a message by entering information in the Message to User field.

Step 10.  Click Next then click Submit.

Step 11.  The user receives the First Time Login email to access Exostar’s IAM Platform (MAG).


Invite an Existing User to an Existing Organization to Access an Application

Step 1.  From the Adoption tab, click Begin New Invitation.

Step 2.  Enter the user’s email address. Click Search.

Step 3.  View displayed results. Select the correct user and organization.

Step 4.  Enter the user’s company details. Click Search.

Step 5.  From the Invitation Information section, select application(s).

Step 6.  If the user requires an OTP product or proofing, select appropriate option. This initiates an email notification to the user to complete a purchase. You have the option to enter the user’s External User ID. You can also enter a message by entering information in the Message to User field.

Step 7.  Click Next then Save.

Step 8.  Click Submit.

Step 9. The user receives the First Time Login email to access Exostar’s IAM Platform (MAG).


Invite an Existing Organization without a User to Access an Application

Step 1.  From the Adoption tab, click Begin New Invitation.

Step 2.  Click Search Organizations.

Step 3.  Click Search.

Step 4.  After clicking Search, you may be presented with one or more company accounts. It is important to note that if the IAM status for the company says Not Subscribed, you need to invite the company.

Step 5.  Select the organization that you are subscribing to the application.

Step 6.  From the Actions field, click Invite Organization.

Step 7.  Click Edit Organization Subscriptions. You are presented with a list of applications and/or services that you can invite the company to access.

Step 8.  The External Source Name is defaulted. If you have the option to select from the drop-down menu, select your company name.

Step 9.  After you click Save, you are taken back to the Organization Summary page. From the Actions field, click Submit Invitation. A notification page displays alerting you that the applications you invited the company to access has been requested.

Step 10.  The system assigns the Application Administrator role for the application you invited the company to access and will assign the Organization Administrator to the two existing users who have most recently logged into the Exostar IAM (MAG) Platform.

Step 11.  Users receive email notifications for application and role assignment.
